Support Coordination

Putting an NDIS plan together can feel like solving a tricky puzzle. Your Local Area Coordinators (LACs) – who are NDIS partners – can help you understand, access, carry out, and review your plan, and they are there to answer any questions you might have. Some people may have Support Coordinators funded in their plans to help connect and coordinate with various supports because their needs are more complex. Not everyone gets Support Coordination funding in their NDIS plan. If you think you need it, it’s best to talk about your eligibility during your NDIS planning meeting.

This can include initial help to connect participants with the right service providers, finding services, coordinating various supports (both funded and community-based), enhancing informal support networks, addressing crises, providing parenting training, and building participant resilience within their own community.’
